| Our insulation pins are for use in Ramset, Hilti, Remington, Simpson and Powers powder actuated tools. Use for fastening foam board on to concrete and block. The 1 7/16" washer serves as a stress plate to help prevent overdriving the tool. Some tools are better suited for this application, the Ramset D45A and the Hilti DX-A41 are probably the best. Some tools don't fare well when shooting these pins on a routine basis, but if you are putting up foam, you likely have the right gun for the job. Some of my local contractors will actually just hand nail them, especially in green concrete. As with any powder actuated application, start with the lowest power level and work your way up. Available in lengths from 1 1/2" to 3". |

| Ramset D45-A Powder Actuated Tool Kit |
The Ramset D45-A tool is an excellent choice for installing insulation pins. This
gun was developed to hold up in overdrive situations. The barrel and the muzzle
are beefed up and a nylon buffer is also utilized. The D45-A also has an
automatic return, you don't have to cycle after each shot, just put in another pin
and go. Your most common load for shooting on foam board, but again, it's best
to start low and work your way up. As with any powder tool, wear proper safety
equipment and get safety training. Training available on line at Ramset.com
